Carefully crafted pieces you want to use
Why Handmade?
Twice -fired clay from the earth, clay that you want to touch. Ceramic pieces that you love to look at. Functional wares that you want to use.
With care and thought, I craft one-of-a-kind ceramic pieces to be put to good use in your everyday life, but also lovely objects to enhance your home and your surroundings. Inspired by my particular natural environment, I strive to use the stems, the leaves, and the flowers I cultivate and enjoy here at my home to inspire the work that will end up in your home.
My pieces will put a smile on your face, feel good in your hands, and make each day just a little bit better.
About Laura
With hands that always needed to be busy, a younger me embarked upon a museum studio school ceramics class, and was instantly hooked. Over the busy years that followed, that hopeful potter popped in and out of classes and studios as time allowed, honing skills and interests alike.
The work you see here is the result of many, many years of thinking and dreaming about the clay between my fingers, and the more recent realization of that long-awaited dream!
I work from my home studio in Richmond, Virginia.
